The Public Law PhD Programme aims to enable lawyers who have completed their master's degree to address the main problems and current developments in legal theory and legal practice in a holistic manner. In this context, the programme focuses on philosophy and sociology of law, constitutional and state theory, criminal law and human rights.
The Public Law Doctorate Programme aims to enable lawyers who are lawyers, judges, prosecutors, notaries, inspectors, etc. who continue their professional activities to have a doctorate degree.
The aim of our programme is to teach our students the methods of investigation and research in the field of Public Law, to improve their application skills, and to gain independent scientific study skills in national and international fields. Upon successful completion of the programme, the students are expected to contribute to new and complex legal problems and disputes both nationally and internationally from the perspective of democracy, human rights and the rule of law.
In addition, considering the interaction between Turkey and Germany in the field of law, the program is envisaged to have a bilingual content. In this direction, it is planned that 30% of the courses in the programme will be in German and will be conducted by German faculty members.
